Citizens Against OLF Legal Council

In October of 2007, Citizens Against OLF formally retained Anita Earls as our legal counsel. She graduated from Yale Law School and has worked on social justice litigation and policy issues for nearly 20 years. She has worked as the Deputy Assistant Attorney General in the Civil Rights Division of the United States Department of Justice. She has also worked as the Director of Advocacy at UNC’s Center for Civil Rights. Most recently, she has formed the Southern Coalition for Social Justice. SCSJ’s mission is as follows: “The Southern Coalition for Social Justice uses the combined skills of lawyers, social scientists, community organizers and media experts to serve low-income and minority communities' visions for themselves and their community, incorporating an international human rights perspective and linking their efforts to broader processes of political, legal, social and economic change in the South”.
